Chromix
Ask Chrom
Questions about how things are made, answered from the Chromix record: the essays and the First Principles entries behind them. Every answer leads with the answer, lists its sources, and links the people and places it names.
What it will not do
It will not answer from outside the record. It has no access to the web and no general knowledge to fall back on, so a question Chromix has not written about returns nothing on record yet — which is the useful answer, because it tells you the gap is real rather than that you asked badly.
It will not cite what it did not use. The sources under an answer are the ones the essay it came from actually cites, carried through verbatim. They are there to be checked, and checking them is the point.
