Privacy
Chromix collects as little as possible. We'd rather earn your attention than track it. Here's exactly what happens when you visit.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which essays are read and where readers come from. It's cookieless and doesn't track you across sites or build a profile of you. We see aggregate patterns — page views, referrers, countries — never individuals.
Cookies
We don't use tracking cookies, so there's no consent banner. The only thing stored in your browser is a small, functional record of your daily-puzzle lineup, kept on your device. It isn't sent anywhere and identifies no one.
Fonts
Our typefaces are served by Google Fonts (Syne) and Fontshare (Switzer). When your browser loads a page, it requests the fonts from these services, which receive your IP address as part of delivering them. We're working to serve our fonts directly so this is no longer needed.
Accounts
The reading side of Chromix needs no account. The games (at playchromix.com) offer an optional account to save progress, handled by the games' own system.
The newsletter
When our newsletter launches, subscribing means giving us your email, used only to send the newsletter, with one-click unsubscribe. It isn't live yet.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical information (like IP addresses) as part of delivering any web page.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't run ads or ad-tracking. We don't share your information with third parties for their own purposes.
